Hi! My name is David Allenstein and I provide professional and effective online maths tutoring for young people and adults.

Maths is a core skill for success in education, work and life in general.


There is no doubting the importance of maths. However, many children and adults lack confidence and suffer 'blindspots' which can affect their exam grades & future opportunities.


In 2020-21, the COVID pandemic has caused a loss of school time and learning opportunities that has impacted millions of children of all ages.


Whether you (or your child) needs help to prepare for a specific exam or test (eg. 11plus, GCSE, Functional Skills) or you just want to improve knowledge and confidence, focused one-to-one support at your own pace can be of immense benefit - getting you back on track and well-placed for a brighter future.


I was educated at Haberdashers’ Boys School (HABS) and Cambridge University.


I achieved straight As in maths and Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts Degrees.

With over 30 years experience in the Education sector, I've taught students of all ages in a range of subjects including maths, ICT and business skills.

  • As a senior leader, I've been responsible for educating thousands of students - from high-flyers to those with special educational needs.


  • I've led large-scale youth & adult learning programmes in diverse communities around the UK and for many employers including Royal Mail, NHS, Ministry of Defence and NATO.


  • I've steered a successful course through several Ofsted inspections - achieving exceptional grades.


  • My students have consistently achieved exam pass rates above 95%.

I know what good quality teaching and learning looks like.
